Art instructor Christine Thornton will teach kids techniques for painting to the rhythm of music using watercolor pencils to create an abstract painting in two sessions offered Friday, July 31 at Geneva Public Library, 127 James St. You’ll leave with a beautiful, small finished painting. No art experience required!

The first session, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., is for 7 to 10-year-olds. Session two, from 1 to 2p.m., is for 10 to 18-year-olds.

Registration for Geneva Public Library District cardholders begins on Friday, July 10 at 9 a.m. Non-cardholders may register beginning Friday, July 17 if space is available. For more information, visit www.gpld.org or call (630) 232-0780.
