Event tags: Dance, Performing Arts, Literature, Books, Poetry
Have you ever considered the rhythm within the words of poetry, plays or prose? Learn how to watch interpretative dance from Paula Frasz and professional dancers from her Chicago-based company Danszloop from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4 at Geneva Public Library, 127 James St.
Whether you are new or experienced in your appreciation for dance, or simply interested in the manner people interpret the written word, this program is for you.
Plays/poems that will be covered include "Eater of Hearts" by Alice Walker, "Of the Joy That Kills" and "Naughty Thoughts" by local playwright Lucas Krueger.
Paula Frasz (founder/artistic director) “is a choreographer to watch,” announced Chicago Tribune Arts critic, Sid Smith. Tribune critic Lucia Mauro calls her, “…a standout.”
A native of Geneva, Frasz began her career at age 12 while participating on the St. Charles Park District diving team, where her diving coach suggested she study ballet to improve her form.
