Naperville Chef Showdown
Two chefs go head-to-head in a friendly cooking competition benefiting Loaves & Fishes.
Naperville Chef Showdown is back! This fundraiser for Loaves & Fishes Community Services will feature two local chefs in a fun and friendly culinary competition, with all proceeds going to help struggling families in DuPage County.
On Wednesday April 17th, guests will watch Chef Mark Grimes from Che Figata and Chef Crispin Plata from Mason Sabika prepare three dishes using food from the Loaves & Fishes market.
Each chef will be assisted by two celebrity “sous chefs.” Stepping up to the stove this year are Dr. Laura Bokar of Fox Valley Institute, Rebecca Boyd-Obarski of Nagle Obarski PC, Joe Chura of Dealer Inspire, and Dave Kelsch of Advanced Data Technologies.
A panel of judges, including Mayor Steve Chirico and 2018 Showdown winner Chef Eddie Sweeney from Catch 35, will judge the three-course meal, which will include a special secret ingredient.
The evening will be emceed by Ray Kinney of Blooming Color and host of Dine Around Naperville, with commentary by Nicki Anderson of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event will take place inside the Loaves & Fishes market where guests will get to watch all the action up-close while enjoying delicious appetizers and cocktails provided by event partner My Chef Catering.
