Earth Day 2018

Tree and Shrub Planting - Camp Chi-Chi Knolls, Gilberts

Help celebrate Earth Day with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County. Volunteers are needed to help plant trees and shrubs at Freeman Kame Forest Preserve. We’ll dig the holes if you’ll do the planting! Join Forest Preserve District staff and volunteers to help plant hundreds of oak trees and shrubs. Simply plant in pre-dug holes, water and mulch. It’s easy! This event is perfect for individuals, families, scouts or other groups. *** Plant as many trees or shrubs as you like, but be sure to arrive at 10 a.m. sharp! We’ll plant trees and shrubs until 1 p.m. or until we run out of shrubs — whichever comes first! Groups of less than 10 do not need to register. Groups of 10 or more, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 630-762-2741 or to RSVP. Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls Freeman Kame Forest Preserve 40W095 Freeman Rd., Gilberts
