Dinara Klinton, a brilliant young pianist, & recipient of multiple awards and critical praise, will perform a free, all-ages pop-up concert on Friday, September 15, 4:00 pm at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin. Critics extol her “amazing naturalness,” “complete union with the instrument,” and “virtuosity of the highest calibre.” Ms. Klinton, who was born in Ukraine, has been playing since she was a little girl, and even performed for Vladimir Putin and other dignitaries in the Nineties. She will perform Tchaikovsky’s famous Piano Concerto No. 1 with acclaimed conductor and ESO Music Director Andrew Grams and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra (ESO) on September 16 and 17 at the Hemmens Cultural Center. Pytor Tchaikovsky is one of the top-three, most beloved composers of all time. The concerts will also include his Suite No. 3, an ESO premiere. Tickets are $30-$65. Student tickets $12.
