Learn from the Experts: Burlington Prairie
Grasses and wildflowers carpet the landscape of Burlington Prairie. A portion of the preserve is virgin prairie, where the ground has never been broken by a plow. Learn about the natural and cultural history of this special place with Senior Ranger Mandy Morgan and Nature Programs Manager Valerie Blaine. As we walk along the trail, we’ll discuss changes from the post-glacial landscape through modern times. We’ll take lots of time to identify wildflowers, insects and birds in this one-of-a-kind nature preserve! Advance registration is required.
