LUNAFEST returns to Arcada Theater

Short film festival sponsored by the Zonta Club of St. Charles-Geneva-Batavia

LUNAFEST®, the fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, will be hosted by Zonta Club of St. Charles-Geneva-Batavia at The Arcada Theater in St. Charles on April 25, 2017. This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers and is consistent with the Zonta mission of Empowering Women Through Service and Advocacy. 100 percent of all LUNAFEST net proceeds are donated to charity, with 15 percent going to support the Breast Cancer Fund, and 85 percent going to support the mission and work of Zonta: to empower women locally and globally. To date, LUNAFEST has raised over $3.6 million dollars for more than 1458 worthy causes. When you attend a LUNAFEST, you not only get a night out with great films, but you also get to make a difference in the lives of real women.
