On April 21, Saturday, in conjunction with the Fox River Arts Ramble, 116 GALLERY will be featuring international, Chicago based artist, Lucy Slivinski to create, on-site, a large-scale sculpture installation, using salvaged materials Her "Installation Performance" will begin at 11am and she will continue up to 4pm. Slivinski will reuse, renew and repurpose items that have been discarded to create her sculptural painting. Just returning from an on site installation in Museo De Bella Artes, in Havana, Cuba, she relates her work is an "homage to regeneration and rebirth". Along with Slivinski, artists Laura Stoecker will have exotic paper mounted photography, and Melinda Gordon will include her "Everyday Goddesses' series in the gallery.
