This is a time for the fun family opportunity to explore the online exhibits of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History of Washington D.C. The museum’s online explorations offer a wonderful option for kids.
On the museum’s website, visitors can choose different halls and exhibits to do a virtual walk through. Everything from permanent, past and current exhibits are available for viewing.
Some recommended favorites include the Hall of Mammals, the Ocean Hall, and the David H. Kock Hall of Fossils.
Also open online is the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery's collections. Many digital offerings are available along with full galleries, a video series exploring American Art's meanings, webcasts, and video interviews with featured artists.
