The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to celebrate Limestone Coffee &
Tea, 8 W. Wilson St., Batavia, on Tuesday, Oct. 1 with a ribbon-cutting. A
a large crowd attended the event, which marked the first anniversary of the
the date that new owners took over operations of the popular Batavia coffee
shop. Among the attendees were owners Leah Leman, her husband Nate and
family; Joy Mason, husband Randall and family; Mayor Jeffery Schielke;
Chamber President & CEO Margaret Perreault; and Batavia MainStreet Executive
Director Jamie Saam. Other attendees included Chamber Special Events
Coordinator Patti Anselme, Chamber Communications & Membership Coordinator
Shirley Mott, Chamber Ambassadors, Batavia alderpersons, Chamber members,
along with many Limestone patrons and friends.

Limestone is a family-owned business, located a short walk from the Fox
River. Weather permitting, patrons can enjoy outdoor seating with views of
the river as well as access to the bike paths, jogging, and walking paths.
Along with its atmosphere, the water bowl for dogs outside the door and
their platform for local artists, the coffeeshop creates "wonderful sense of
community," according to Jennifer DiNicola, a Batavia resident and avid fan.

As to the future, Leman and Mason say they have no current plans to change
Limestone Coffee & Tea other than to add more business hours. The business
currently employs 16 in addition to the owners. To learn more about
