Aug 29, 2019 10:23AM ● By Hannah Ott
Batavia - Sing and Play Classes begin on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 950 Hart Rd., Batavia. The free, at-will classes are from 11-11:45am.

The parent-toddler class is designed specifically for young learners, 18 months and older. During the class, children can sit comfortably on mom or dad's lap and gently ease into a class setting.

Through familiar, action-based songs, short teacher-led stories and object lessons, visual stimulation and group participation, children begin the process of learning how to behave in a group setting and how to interact with children next to them. They grow in their ability to listen and attend and practice following directions and making predictions.

Sing and Play sessions begin with with small motor activities and move into small group circle time, followed by large motor free play utilizing gym equipment. Participants go home with a craft after the short lesson. Everyone regroups in a circle to sing good-bye songs.

Sing and Play is a free class that requires no registration or commitment. Come and play each week or whenever is convenient. Siblings are always welcome.
