Events in Fox Valley for tonight's National Night Out

Kane County - Tonight, August 6, is the National Night Out. The countrywide "night out against crime" brings members of the community together, while strengthening relations between them and law enforcement. Below are all events happening within the TriCities, Aurora and South Elgin. 

Kane County/TriCities
Location: 37W755 Rt. 38, St. Charles

6:30-8:30pm: Sheriff Hain and members of the Kane County Sheriff’s Office present: Music, food, face-painting, amusements by Awesome Amusements, resources and later on will show Incredibles 2. The School of Rock will play. A flight nurse will also be there. The movie starts at sundown 

“Bring Chairs and Blankets for the Incredibles 2 movie! You don't want to miss out!”

Geneva
Locations: Mill Creek Pool, 39W125 S Mill Creek Dr. & Sunset Pool, 710 Western Ave.

"In honor of National Night Out, admission to both Sunset Pool and Mill Creek Pool is free from 6-8pm."

Campton Hills
Location: School Street, between Route 64 and La Fox Road
  • 6-8pm: Meet your local police officers, enjoy activities for the entire family, face-painting and hula hoop contest and engage in safety education. There will be free hot dogs, drinks and ice cream as well as give-aways from local businesses.  
  • 5pm: Bicycle Safety Check
  • 6pm: Flag Ceremony
  • 6:30-7:30pm: Emergency Helicopter Fly-In
  • 7-7:30pm: K-9 Officer “Koda” Demonstration

South Elgin
Location: Jim Hansen Park, 338 Valley Forge Ave.

6-9pm: There will be live music, food and fun at South Elgin's National Night Out and Block Party. Kids can experience the Touch-A-Truck and view Emergency Vehicles on display. There will also be a local business/organization expo. Live music at the main stage: Hillbilly Rockstarz at 6:05pm and 7th Heaven at 7:30pm.
