St. Charles - On June 24, the Pottawatomie Garden Club (PGC) awarded two scholarships to St. Charles High School Seniors, Jacob Aalfs and Lauren Arbir.

The two $3,000 scholarships are in memory of the late Erma Bogert, a longtime garden club member.

Jacob Aalfs will be attending Kansas State University where he will be majoring in Agribusiness, Farm and Ranch Management. Lauren Arbir is enrolled at the University of Missouri, and she is majoring in Environmental Science.

"Congratulations to both of our young 'eco' minded scholars!" stated the PGC. (pottagardenclub.org/Scholarship.html)
