Cocoa Bean Marks 15 Years in Geneva

Geneva - Fifteen years ago, when Cocoa Bean Fine Desserts and Bakery was founded, there were very few dessert and pastry shops in the TriCities. In Geneva, none has been around as long as Cocoa Bean, which is announcing its 15-year anniversary this July.
To celebrate, there will be giveaways every day in July, with special treats on Saturday, July 27, the anniversary of Chef Paul Saucedo opening his doors in Geneva, on 7th at State.
Cocoa Bean Fine Desserts & Bakery has been Geneva’s favorite location for cakes, pastries and desserts over the years – and has helped Geneva to become known as one of the suburb’s best food destinations. The French-inspired bakery has been regularly named as a customer favorite by readers of major publications across the Western Suburbs.
Many customers come in daily for coffee and freshly baked croissants – almond, chocolate or plain – or a variety of muffins, Danish, and so much more. Dessert favorites include the Sophia cake, the gluten-free cheesecake and the French Macarons.
Cocoa Bean specializes in cakes for all kinds of events – holidays, birthday celebrations, showers, graduations and, of course, Cocoa Bean’s famous wedding cakes. Saucedo, owner of Cocoa Bean, is inviting customers and newcomers alike to stop by in July to say “hello,” and introduce themselves.
“This feels like a great milestone for our business,” Saucedo said. “We have enjoyed a great following since we first opened and business has steadily increased. We’re just happy to say ‘thank you’ to our customers for their loyalty over the years. I’m hopeful to continue serving the Geneva community and surrounding suburbs for many years to come!”
Saucedo is a graduate of Kendall College of Chicago. His culinary career spans more than 30 years at such prestigious restaurants and hotels as The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago, Rhapsody Restaurant in Chicago and the Grand Hotel Adolphus in Dallas.
Cocoa Bean Fine Desserts & Bakery, located at 11 South 7th Street in Geneva, Illinois, has been serving Geneva as a French-style bakery since 2004.
