Geneva Park District’s July outdoor lineup – concerts, movies, teen night and Aquaman

June’s Got the Cash is a musical tribute to American Country Music icons Johnny Cash and June Carter. They will perform at River Park on July 10, 7pm.

June’s Got the Cash is a musical tribute to American Country Music icons Johnny Cash and June Carter. All shows are scripted with classic country comedy bits, historical stories, vintage costumes and songs performed from Cash’s hit collection of music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. NEW FOR 2019 – Each concert will feature food for sale from Deane’s Market & Deli and a beer tent featuring beer from Solemn Oath Brewing Company.  2019 Concerts in the Park are sponsored by the Shodeen Family Foundation, Kane County Chronicle, DuPage Medical Group, Deane’s Market and Deli, Baird and Warner Brokers Joanne Spagnola and Becky Smith, and Solemn Oath Brewery.

 

Movie in the Park – Mary Poppins Returns, July 11, dusk (approx. 8:30pm), Wheeler, Geneva. 

See Mary Poppins Returns on the big screen at Wheeler Park on July 11.  Movies begin at dusk, or approximately 8:30 pm.  Don’t forget a blanket or lawn chair!  Concessions will be available for purchase.  Movies in the Park are sponsored by the Shodeen Family Foundation, DuPage Medical Group, and the Kane County Chronicle.  Plus, don’t miss The Meg on August 1 at River Park.

 

Flick n Float – Aquaman, July 12, dusk (approx. 8:00 pm), Sunset Pool, 710 Western Ave, Geneva.

As the sun sets at Sunset Pool, grab a floatie or an inner tube and enjoy a cool poolside screening of Aquaman!  Twilight admission rates apply.  Plus, don't miss The Incredibles 2 on August 9. 

 

Teen Night – Color War, July 16, 8:00 – 10:00 pm, Mill Creek Pool, 39W125 South Mill Creek Drive.

Wear a plain white T-shirt and you will receive color powder packets to create masterpieces. Plastic bags will be provided. $5 (N/R $6) per person.

 

Concert in the Park – Saturday June Band, July 17, 7:00pm, River Park, 101 North River Lane.

Saturday June (aka Steve Kessler) has been rocking Chicago for 20 years.  The current incarnation of The Saturday June Band features the beautiful vocals of Jami Dawn, the great keyboard work of Steve Woods, the serious bass of Joe Richards, and the rhythm of Doc Jay Burstein and Dan Lazarus. The band plays with an infectious enthusiasm that draws in the listener and makes them want to get out there and dance to the Rock, Classic Rock, Indie, Alternative, Pop, Oldies, and New Wave songs they know so well! Concert in the Park – Mr. Myers, July 24, 7:00pm, River Park, 101 North River Lane, Geneva.

The StingRays play the greatest music ever written with the energy, passion, and authenticity of the artists they love.
