Geneva - The following events are happening this month in Geneva and the surrounding area, as provided by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. Plan to attend them and find that there's truly something for everyone in the Fox Valley.
First Fridays in Geneva – June 7
Many Geneva businesses are having fun events in their stores on the first Friday of every month. Look for the yellow moon poster on their windows/doors.
Fox River Distilling First Friday – June 7
Join Fox River Distilling, 204 Dearborn Court, Unit 110, Geneva from 5:30-8 pm. No reservations are required. Start your weekend with us and enjoy light bites, and live music. This is also a great time to sample many of our premium spirits and get up close and personal with our distillers. See you there!
Foreign Film Sunday – June 9

Ukulele Class – June 12
Learn to play the Ukulele with Kevin Presbrey at Galena Wine Cellars, 477 S. Third St. #100, Geneva from 6:45-8:15 pm. The cost is $15 per person. Wine special offered to all participants. The first 1/2 hour is a beginner class, the 2nd 1/2 hour is intermediate to advanced and the last 1/2 hour is a jam session. It's fun! Call 630-232-9463 for a reservation.
Geneva ConnecTED – June 14

Flick n Float – June 14
As the sun sets at Sunset Pool, grab a floatie or an inner tube and enjoy a cool poolside screening of “Hook” on June 14 and “Aquaman” on July 12 at Geneva Park District’s Sunset Pool, 710 Western Ave., Geneva. Anderson Animal Shelter's Critter Camp – begins June 17
Join us at Anderson Animal Shelter's, 1000 S. LaFox Rd., Elgin Critter Camp this summer. Ages 6-10 years old, multiple sessions available. All sessions are Mon-Weds from 9 am-1 pm. Campers will spend their time engaged in arts and crafts, games and activities all centered around responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Mansio Montessori Open House – June 17 & 21
Mansio Montessori of Geneva, 102 Howard, is hosting two open houses from 9:30 am-10:30 am. This is an opportunity for you to come see our space, ask questions and learn more about the Montessori philosophy. Peck Farm House 150th Anniversary Celebration – June 29
Join Geneva Park District at Peck Farm Park , 4038 Kaneville Rd., Geneva 11 am-2 pm to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Peck Farm House. Come explore the history gallery and interpretive center inside the Peck House, and enjoy kids activities and sheep herding demonstrations. The event is free, and no registration is required.
Geneva Commons Sidewalk Sale – June 29 & 30
