Chef Tony Gargano’s Osteria Bigolaro in Geneva to Participate in Baconfest Chicago 2019

The event, which is eleven years strong, partners with over 140 of the Chicago area’s hottest chefs, mixologists, brewers, artisan bacon-makers and “bacontrepreneurs” - who prepare small samples of food and drinks all made with the same main ingredient: bacon.
Baconfest Chicago, a nationally renowned, locally beloved festival, attracts thousands of bacon lovers who relish in sampling hundreds of bacon dishes and drinks over the course of two days.
Osteria Bigolaro, which specializes in authentic, Italian fare, will feature “Baby Got Carb,” their creative spin on Carbonara. It includes a parmesan cheese mousse, sous-vide egg yolk and fried, fresh pasta.
“I’m pleased that Osteria Bigolaro has been selected to participate in Baconfest Chicago this year,” said chef/owner, Tony Gargano. “My goal in opening the restaurant a year and a half ago was to offer diners in the Geneva, Illinois and surrounding area, a five-star Italian dining experience like you’d find in Chicago or Italy, but in a casual setting. At Baconfest we’ll be able to share samples of our unique take on Italian food that will inspire foodies in the city and the burbs to come dine with us.”
