Aurora - First responders from the Aurora Fire Department were among the many public officials who helped save lives last Friday in Aurora.

The EMT team and officers of the Aurora Police Department gave their courage, dedication and skills to the community. They are now looking to give back even more with a benefit concert this Sunday.

Aurora Fire Fighters Local 99 and the Aurora Police Department are co-sponsoring the Aurora Strong Benefit Concert at Ballydoyle, 28 W. New York St., on February 24.

From 12-6pm, the event will raise funds for victims' families and wounded officers. 100% of the proceeds from tickets and activities will go to those affected.

Tickets are $25. They include two floors of live music from 10 bands, a special Irish Buffet, Irish Dancers, The Knights of Ballydoyle Honor Guard and a visit from an Irish Leprechaun and his clan. There will also be activities to help raise additional funds.

The following activities will be donation-funded: Raffles, Face Painting, Wine Tastings, Whiskey Tasting, Guinness tasting, Selfie Station, Stuff the boot, Balloon Sculpting and Cornhole Contest.
