Enjoy Monthly Night Hikes Under a Full Moon Through the Forest Preserve District of Kane County

Kane County - Learn the legends of the moon during monthly evening hikes, offered by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County. During these hikes, listen to stories and learn a little astronomy by the light of the full moon. 

“By the Light of the Moon” evening hikes are free and for all-ages. They will take place even if the skies are cloudy. Register to join one of the following hikes:

  • The Wolf Moon hike will take place Sunday, Jan. 20, from 4:45-5:45 p.m. at Jon J. Duerr Forest Preserve, 35W003 IL Rte. 31, South Elgin.
  • The Snow Moon hike will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 6:45-7:45 p.m. at Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls, 40W095 Freeman Rd., Gilberts.
