Geneva, IL - On November 28, MetroNet celebrated the official activation of its 100% fiber optic internet, TV and phone services in the Fox River Valley region at a grand opening ceremony. The ceremony took place at the new retail location, 1772 S. Randall Rd., Suite 160 in Geneva.
MetroNet’s new retail storefront in Geneva will serve as the command center for customer service and sales for all of Kane County. Customers will be able to walk in the store and view service plans, discuss any related issues, interact and learn everything there is to know about MetroNet’s services.
For the grand opening, John Cinelli, the company’s president, was joined by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and members of the MetroNet executive team. They cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially activate the power of fiber for Kane County.
“We are looking forward to MetroNet Inc. bringing its cutting-edge fiber optic communication services to the town,” Mayor Kevin Burns said. “With MetroNet’s fiber-optic investment in our community, this will be something that the entire region can enjoy, and we’re thrilled to be home to the new retail location here in Geneva.”
“We’ve experienced such a warm welcome from Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, South Elgin, North Aurora, and the surrounding communities since we started this project,” MetroNet President John Cinelli said. “It’s clear that the Fox River Valley is rich in diversity and opportunity and we’re excited to be a part of it as we move forward. We can’t thank these communities enough for their partnership.
The first customers to test MetroNet fiber optic internet, television and phone plans were honored at the announcement and were recognized for their service during the trial phase. Robert Strasser, Steven Thom and Keith Dodson were awarded a MetroNet plaque in recognition of their participation. They are representatives of North Aurora, Sugar Grove and the City of Geneva.
