Thousands of wine and jazz lovers attended the 8th Annual Ottawa 2 Rivers Wine Festival in downtown Ottawa from June 1-3. The annual event is held in historic downtown Ottawa and incorporates wine tastings from 18 Illinois vineyards and outstanding jazz music. Dining options include grilled fresh Maine lobsters and prime rib and other sandwiches from a local restaurant.

Hannah Ott of Batavia attended the festival for the first time. She said that “she was impressed with the quality of entertainment and variety of wines available."

"As a lifetime resident of the Fox Valley, it was my first visit to Ottawa which is where the Fox River and Illinois Rivers meet and only an hour's drive away from home."

She added that "I am looking forward to going to the festival next June and also checking out some of the other great events planned by the Ottawa Visitors Center."

Sponsors for the event include the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association, Ottawa Visitors Center, City of Ottawa, Heritage Corridor CVB, Ottawa Boat Club and Tangled Roots Brewing Company.
