Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation Fox Trot race raises $6200
BATAVIA (May 9, 2018) – On
Saturday April 28, 2018, the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation (BMCF) hosted the
18th Annual Fox Trot 5K & 10K race at the lovely Batavia
Riverwalk. Over 250 runners and walkers participated in the 5K and 10K races
which hosted children and adults alike. In addition, almost 100 children
participated in two kids’ runs: the Junior Jog, a non-competitive race for
children in preschool through first grade, and the Youth Run, for second
through fifth graders. Batavia Academy of Dance was on hand to perform and
cheer the runners on! Overall, the event raised approximately $6200 for area
charities and schools.
BMCF thanks all of the donors, volunteers, and sponsors, especially Apollo Development & Investment; A.R. Bohr Roofing, LLC; Mosquito Joe; Orange Theory Fitness; and Dick Pond Athletics, without whom these events could not take place. BMCF would also like to thank all of the dedicated runners and walkers, many of whom return year after year! The money raised from this event, as well as all of BMCF's events, are disbursed to local charities and educational organizations serving women, children, and families.
The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation members put on a spectacular event and hope that you will join them for Fox Trot next year.
