“Magnificent. The best Judy Garland Chicago ever saw. Barring the real one” raved the Chicago Tribune. The Chicago Sun-Times exclaimed, “Phenomenal. Angela Ingersoll was born to play Judy Garland. Ingersoll’s tour de force performance might well leave you believing you’ve encountered the ghost of the beloved film star.” Broadway World added, “her charm onstage is infectious...Ingersoll is brilliant.”

Not only did top Chicago talent Angela Ingersoll win the 2017 Jeff Award for essaying Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow, she was double nominated last season for another indelible performance as Hedy LaRue in Marriott’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Likewise, the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times both bestowed 2017 “Top Performance of the Year” honors on Ingersoll for her portrayal of Garland. She superbly captures Garland's emotional and vocal power in her new PBS televised concert special Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland. She recently partnered with Garland’s son to honor his mother in a special concert event, Joey Luft and Angela Ingersoll Celebrate Judy Garland.

Ingersoll's many other theater credits nationwide include South Pacific (Nellie), Carousel (Julie), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Man of La Mancha (Aldonza), Jekyll and Hyde (Lucy), The Secret Garden (Martha), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth), Richard III (Lady Anne), The Merry Wives of Windsor (Mistress Quickly), The Game’s Afoot (Daria), The 39 Steps (Annabella/Pamela/ Margaret), The Philadelphia Story (Tracy), The Great Gatsby (Myrtle) and The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy).
