On Sunday, May 20th at 7 pm, Waterline Writers presents Let The Blues Be Your Muse!, featuring writers and musicians Latrina Childs, Joan Colby, Sharon Kotzin Frolick, Paula Garrett, Robert Hellenga, Dave Ramont, Al Schubert, Christopher Stolle and Emily Hollis Tipping. The event includes original poetry, prose and essays that evoke or celebrate blues music, as well as live blues performances!

The event will be held in the art gallery at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water Street, Batavia, and on Kiss The Sky’s adjoining music stage, both fully accessible from the gallery entrance. Admission is $5 or $3 for students. Everyone is welcome!

Purchase signed copies of authors’ books; albums, CD’s and more at Kiss The Sky; hand-tooled pens from Wooden Writers or hand-constructed books from Tieri Ton Books. We’ll also enjoy wine or beer ($5), and food from The Market at Gaetano’s!

Special thanks to blues radio host Paula Garrett and blues musicians Scott Tipping and Dave Nelson for their help with this event, and also to Kiss The Sky’s  Steve Warrenfeltz for suggesting this collaboration as a prelude to Blues & Roots on Water Street on June 9th from 6-11:30 PM.
