St. Charles, IL: The Arcada Theatre presents singer,
songwriter and social activist Michael Bolton on Wednesday, April 4. The
two-time Grammy winner for "Best Pop Male Vocal Performance" has
sold over 65 million albums worldwide and possesses the iconic soulful voice on
the classic hit "When A Man Loves A Woman" as well as the
Oscar-nominated theme song "Go The Distance" for Disney's
blockbuster animation, Hercules.
Bolton is one of the few artists to have co-written with the legendary Bob Dylan, resulting in the mega hit, "Steel Bars." He's also written over 100 songs performed by a diverse list of artists ranging from Barbra Streisand to Conway Twitty to Kenny G to Kanye West. In 1997 Bolton was asked to perform "Georgia On My Mind" for Ray Charles at the International Jazz Hall of Fame and in 1998 joined Luciano Pavarotti for the highly praised rendition of "Vesti La Giubba," paying homage to his Italian tenor. His new album "Songs of Cinema" was released on February 10.
Tickets for the 7:30pm show are $69, $79, $95 or $125 and are available at oshows.com or by calling 630-962-7000.
