Geneva School District recognized for excellence in financial reporting

Jan 10, 2018 09:15AM
GENEVA — Geneva School District once again has received the Association of School Business Officials International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. This award results from having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. This reflects the work of staff on the District’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the 2016-17 fiscal year.

According to ASBO International, the Certificate of Excellence award confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen the District’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting. Geneva School District has received this recognition every year since 2009.

“We greatly appreciate the hard work and professional competence of our staff in the Business Services Office, which led to this recognition for District 304,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler.

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the 2016-17 fiscal year is available on Geneva School District’s website, www.Geneva304.org, by clicking on “Presentations, Reports, Studies” under the “Community” section of the navigation menu.
