TriCities Magazine Holiday Issue

Dec 04, 2017 12:36PM

We had a great time putting together our first Gift Guide for the second issue of TriCities magazine. You can view the holiday issue in its entirety in the attached PDF below.

In fear of getting in over our heads, we worked with just a dozen of our favorite businesses (yes, we know, there are literally hundreds of great holiday shopping options in the TriCities area).  We collected each store’s personally selected gift recommendations and took them to Alex Claney Photography. If you have ever worked with Alex, you know how he and his wife, Michelle, work very hard to capture special moments or things…like these shots that were taken in his St. Charles studio. Alex makes it looks easy, but believe us, it’s not. And all the Christmas greens from Heinz Nursery helped capture the occasion.

The stores that participated in this small gift guide could not have been nicer and more cooperative and easier to work with.  As you will see, some of the items are pricey; some are one of a kind.  All are very special to the respective businesses.  They trusted us not to run away with the artifacts, wear the jewelry or eat the candy (tempting, but we resisted).

A special shout out to (alphabetically) Artemisia, Evernia, Funway, Geneva History Center, Jeans and a Cute Top, K. Hollis Jewelers, The Little Traveler, Lotus Aum, More Than Mugs, State Street Jewelers and Tea Tree Shop.  Are you and your staffs always this friendly and helpful?  Or is part of the Midwestern DNA?  It’s no wonder people come from afar to shop here.

We hope you enjoy this small eclectic collection of gifts ideas from the TriCities.  While you are in their stores, please tell them how much we enjoyed sharing their gift ideas with you.

May you and your family have a wonderful, blessed, happy, friend-filled, spirit-lifting holiday season.

Tim and Kate Sullivan

PS. Our next issue comes out February 1.  The theme... “Special Occasions” including weddings, anniversaries and vacations.
