Six Marmion Seniors sign national letters of intent

Six Marmion Academy student-athletes signed national
letters of intent to play on the collegiate level at an all-school assembly on
Thursday, November 8, 2017. They are seniors Seth Groom, Nate Jimenez, William
Kamps, Jack Kirtley, Michael Ronzone and Chase Stanke.
Seth Groom, son of Kim Groom of Batavia, will be attending the University of Iowa to be a part of the track and field team. He will be studying law and criminology.
Nate Jimenez, son of Walter Jimenez of Elburn, will be attending Michigan State University to be a part of the wrestling team. He will be studying food industry management.
William Kamps, son of Lane and Monica Kamps of Carol Stream, will be attending the University of Pennsylvania to be a part of the swimming team. He will be studying pre-law with a concentration on political science and philosophy.
Jack Kirtley, son of Robert and Renee Kirtley of St. Charles, will be attending the University of Washington to be a part of the rowing team. He will be studying Business Administration.
Michael Ronzone, son of Matthew and Elizabeth Ronzone of Batavia, will be attending the University of Kansas to be a part of the cross country and track teams. He will double major in Business and exercise science.
Chase Stanke, son of Michael and Stacy Stanke of Sugar Grove, will be attending the University of Minnesota to be a part of the baseball team. He will be studying finance.
"The leadership, dedication and perseverance that you have shown over your years at Marmion will transfer with you as you move to the next level in your playing careers. Everyone here at Marmion is proud of each and every one of you and we know that you will continue to make us proud as you go forward," stated Andy Damato, Marmion Academy's Athletic Director.
