Batavia High School Presents: Cats

November 9-11 at 7:30pm

Batavia High School’s annual musical returns to the fall with the production of “CATS.”

This wonderfully imaginative show features some of the most treasured songs in musical theater and is set in a junkyard playground alive with feline characters, including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Old Deuteronomy, Jennyanydots, Grizabella, and Skimbleshanks.

CATS” is based on T. S. Eliot’s collection of poems, “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.” Originally written for his godchildren, T.S. Eliot’s poems have strong parallels to human habits, attitudes, and behaviors, and teach the importance of tolerance and sympathy for others.

Ball in the House: Holiday Magic

December 15, 2017 – 7:30pm

Back by popular demand from our 2012-13 season, “Ball in the House: Holiday Magic” follows in the path of classic harmony groups like Boyz II Men and The Temptations, while incorporating the pop and neo-soul influence of artists like Bruno Mars. The five- member veteran vocal band will make you move to your feet. With an extensive tour schedule (averaging 200 dates a year), Ball in the House reaches millions and is arguably one of the hardest-working, most successful indie bands today. Over the years, the band has performed with several artists including The Beach Boys, Gladys Knight, Kool & the Gang, KC and The Sunshine Band, Jessica Simpson, and Smokey Robinson. Ring in the holiday season with the exciting sounds of a capella spirit!

Masters of the Mind

January 19, 2018 – 7:30pm

Performing for the first time together in this new production, four internationally acclaimed mentalists who have been seen on NBC, FOX, CNN, BRAVO, History Channel, Discovery, and  Univision, demonstrate the phenomenal power of the mind via telekinesis, hypnosis, mind reading, and predictions, leaving audiences mesmerized!
