Anderson Animal Shelter to hold mega-adoption event at North Aurora Adoption Center

Oct 04, 2017 09:37AM

More than 50 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available for adoption at Anderson Animal Shelter’s North Aurora Adoption Center, located next to Pet Supplies Plus on Randall Road in North Aurora.  The event will be held October 7 from 11am-2pm and adopted animals will be able to go home with their families the same day.

“We really value our partnership with Pet Supplies Plus.  So far this year, the adoption center has helped us save the lives of nearly 500 previously homeless pets – that’s a lot of happy families!  With so many animals available for adoption at this weekend’s adoption event, there’s sure to be at least one that will capture your heart,” said Bob Geniusz, manager of the Adoption Center.

The adoption center, which officially opened in February of this year, was made possible through a partnership with Pet Supplies Plus.  Approximately 30 dogs and cats are housed at the Center which is open 7 days a week.  All animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.  Each adoption comes with a free vet exam from a participating clinic and one month of free pet health insurance.  For a list of available pets, visit Anderson online at www.andersonanimalshelter.org.
