Concert in downtown Aurora to benefit recent natural disaster areas

Oct 03, 2017 11:09AM

DOWNTOWN AURORA - This Sunday, enjoy an afternoon of free music along the Fox River at the gazebo at Millennium Plaza, 21 S. Stolp Ave. All you need to bring are some items to benefit those affected by the recent hurricane in Texas.

At 3pm on Oct. 8, local musician Lindsey Ward is organizing a benefit concert for the community. Dina Bach will also perform.

Attendees are invited to learn about ways to donate to disaster relief efforts. Ward will be assisting the City of Aurora with their collection of water, feminine hygiene products, socks, baby wipes, and diapers.

The city cannot collect clothes, food, or anything beyond the very specific list that they’ve worked on with the Houston Mayor’s Office.

Items will be collected at the concert.
