October 28th is the 3rd annual Batavia United Way 5k walk/run 10k run & little kids fun run to be held in conjunction with BatFest. The Start and Finish is at State/River St and travels north on the Fox River Bike Trail. Participants that register by October 9 are guaranteed event t-shirts and goody bags. In keeping with the Halloween theme, costumes are encouraged!  All registered are automatically entered into a raffle so you need not be the fastest runner to win a prize.

Coinciding with the walk/run is a Community Pancake Breakfast & Bloody Mary Bar hosted by Pal Joey’s Restaurant and Batavia United Way from 8:30am – Noon at Pal Joey’s. Runners, walkers, spectators and anyone interested in enjoying BatFest festivities is welcome.

All proceeds fund programs and services at 17 area non profits that serve Batavians in need.
