Water Street Studios Gallery new exhibit: “Chicago Artists Interpret Shakespeare”

Street Studios’ Dempsey Family Gallery will be hosting its latest art exhibit titled, “Chicago Artists Interpret
This popular show, curated by Anne Farley Gaines, Robert Kameczura, and Maureen Warren, was first exhibited in 2012 and features a collection of works by nearly 50 Chicago-area artists inspired by the poetry and plays of William Shakespeare.
The Shakespeare show has been displayed in a number of venues throughout the region and was also one of many arts presentations in Chicago in 2016 that commemorated the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
During the opening night reception, you’ll get to meet a number of the artists while also enjoying live music, free food by Gaetano’s Batavia, a cash bar featuring beer from Solemn Oath Brewery and wine provided by Bright Angel wines.
The Chicago Artists Interpret Shakespeare show will open on July 14th, from 6-to-9 pm and continue until August 5, 2017.
Upstairs at the Kane County Chronicle Gallery
Christine Willett will be displaying a selection of her photographs at the Kane County Chronicle gallery, located on the second floor at Water Street Studios.
Opening reception will be held July 14, from 6 – 9 p.m.
The show will be on view during regular gallery hours: Friday, 1-9 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m. at 160 S. Water Street in Batavia.
