Kites flew high last year at the inaugural Aurora Kite Festival. The festival is rescheduled to June 3 due to inclement weather.

DOWNTOWN AURORA - Due to rain storms on May 20, the second annual Aurora Kite Festival is rescheduled to Saturday, June 3.

The free, all ages festival invites participants to bring their own kite and fly it at RiverEdge Park adjacent to Jake’s Bagels and Deli at 220 N. Broadway.

The family-friendly event is from 10 a.m. to noon. The first 100 children receive a free kite courtesy of City of Aurora Neighborhood Festival Funding.
