Pheasant Run Resort tour highlights

St. Charles, Ill. – May 23, 2017 – The Pheasant Run Resort executive team hosted a private tour and reception Thursday, May 11th. Among the guests of the private tour were St. Charles’ Mayor Raymond Rogina, City Administrator Mark Koenen, Neighbors Magazines Publisher Tim Sullivan and Account Executive Anita Malik. The tour and presentation focused on economic impact, new entertainment openings and extensive improvements coming in the near future.
“Our team took care in planning an exceptional tour to illustrate why and how tourism is the economic engine for jobs in St. Charles,” says general manager France Langan. “I was proud to gather the prominent group of leaders and partners for this important event and to share the exciting things happening at Pheasant Run,” he added.
The tour stopped in eight locations throughout the property, beginning with a welcome by Front Office Manager Lindsay Levinson in the lobby. Levinson shared how the ‘First Ten Minutes’ of a guests stay sets the tone for an entire stay.
At the Golf Shop where Jamie Nieto, PGA professional and golf operations manager, reported that 26 charity golf outings are scheduled for the 2017 calendar. He expects 24,000 rounds of golf this year.
Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker, Clubhouse Lounge, stressed the importance of locally-sourced produce (including her own garden) will supplement fresh ingredients used in Harvest Restaurant’s ‘farm to table’ fare.
Moving from healthy food to wellness, guests then met Lori Vargas, MBA and founder of Spa Vargas Wellness, whose business focuses on wellness and special massages for runners, bikers & triathletes.
Inside the Mega Center, Margy Moore, director of convention services, reported Pheasant Run’s venue hosts over 250,000 visitors each year, generating revenue for area restaurants, other hotels and businesses in the community.
Pheasant Run’s Ampitheater, which has been dormant for two years, is about to come alive again with the help of Onesti Entertainment. Two new acts scheduled are Aladdin in June 2017 and Hairspray in August 2017.
The Bourbon Street entertainment area has a few new additions including iPanic Escape Rooms and Pop Up Gallery which currently houses the St. Charles Arts Council’s exhibit.
Zanies comedy showroom has been open at for 27 years, with performances from some of the nations’ biggest comedians including Gilbert Gottfried, Drew Carey, Emo Philips, Joel McHale, Tommy Chong, and more offer additional reasons to visit St. Charles.
Pheasant Run has hosted weddings
for 54 years with an average 200 guests per wedding. An estimated 2,700 wedding parties and 540,000
guests have been hosted at Pheasant Run over its history.
The tour concluded with a reception at Zydeco Jack’s where guests enjoyed fare from Jambalaya’s new menu.
