Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation awards grants on May 16

BATAVIA, IL – The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation (BMCF) announced
that on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, between 1 and 2 p.m., BMCF will
welcome representatives of more than 35 community groups and schools to a
Disbursement Open House at Batavia’s Peg Bond Center. At this event, BMCF will
present grant award checks totaling more than $23,000. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments
while meeting members of BMCF and connecting with other members of the
educational, social services, and philanthropic communities. Recipients of
grant dollars share BMCF’s goal of bettering life for children and families in
Batavia and the Fox Valley. BMCF members raised this money through the annual Autumn
Craft and Vendor Show, Bunco Night, and Fox Trot race. Applications for
charitable disbursements are due by March 15th each year.
The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded in 1934, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, women and families in the Fox Valley area. Each year, the club donates between $20,000 to $35,000 to local charities and the Batavia Public Schools, whose activities support this mission. The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation is open to all mothers in the area who are interested in local philanthropic, service, and fundraising / recreational activities.
