All ages are invited to join us for the Batavia Depot Museum’s annual Women’s History Program. Her dazzling achievements include being the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean in an airplane (1928), the first woman to pilot herself across the Atlantic by plane (1932). She set numerous speed and altitude records before disappearing mysteriously in 1937 during an attempted around-the-world-flight.
