“Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.”

This sums up how Batavia MainStreet feels about our volunteers. People giving of their very valuable time to help make an impact greater than themselves in their community is how Batavia Mainstreet continues to make Downtown Batavia the place that everyone wants to gather and enjoy time together. Batavia MainStreet events and programming depends on the generosity of over 1500 volunteers annually. Thankfully, community members in Batavia are always willing to step up to volunteer, partner and take responsibility of their hometown.

As a bonus, MainStreet isn’t the only beneficiary of the giving Batavia community members. The individual volunteers benefit greatly too! Volunteering helps you gain confidence and meet new people. As a volunteer you make a real and valuable difference as part of the community.

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do and Batavia MainStreet has lots of opportunities for you!
