Downtown Batavia is truly a place for people of all ages to live, work, play and continue to grow. Batavia MainStreet has enjoyed the opportunity to work with an array of student interns and volunteers this year as way to not only give some great real world experience to these kids but to also help foster the next generation of passionate, community minded volunteers and workers. Make sure to say hello if you see our summer intern Luke Freiburger down at the Saturday Morning Batavia Farmers’ Market on River St. from 8am until 12pm each week. Summer also means that there are a lot of volunteer opportunities both for the day of the events and to help in the planning! Here are a few of our teams looking to add some new members:
Green Fair on the Fox—It only takes one small change to make an impact on the world around you. If you have a passion for leaving the world a better place than when you arrived, we want you to join us on the green team!
House Walk—We have four unique homes on the walk along with the Newton House that will include a historical tour and tea. If you are interested in architecture, interior design, or landscaping, we would love to have you on our team.
Block Party—We love that this is everyone’s opportunity to enjoy a neighborhood block party! If you have a passion for car shows, outdoor games and fun, we want you to join this team. To learn more about the above opportunities and others, please contact the MainStreet office at 630-761-3528 or visit downtownbatavia.com. We thank you for your gift of time!
Downtown is everyone's neighborhood!
