St. Charles water main flushing rescheduled

Jun 30, 2016 12:14PM ● Published by Neighbors Magazines

The St. Charles Fire Department will be conducting a rescheduled water main flush at
1500 Lincoln Hwy. on Tues., July 5. The test will begin at approximately 9am and finish by 10am the same day. Residents may experience rust in the water during or immediately after the testing procedure. The water is safe; however you may want to refrain from doing laundry until the water is clear. In the event rusty water discolors clothes while being laundered, please be sure to keep the clothing wet, and contact the Public Works Department at 377-4405 to request a rust-removing solution packet. It is advised that drivers use caution in driving through areas being flushed due to water that may be on the pavement.
