The Library, in conjunction with the Fox Valley Music Foundation, will co-host a Summer Songwriter Workshop and Performance Series. Programs in the six-part series feature local, professional songwriters explaining their process when creating a song, followed by a live performance of their work.

Three of the six programs will be held at Batavia Public Library and three will be held at the Aurora Public Library, West Branch (233 S. Constitution Dr.).

According to Dave Glynn, board member of the Fox Valley Music Foundation, the series complements Aurora’s Blues on the Fox Festival, June 17–18. The programs are free and will be held on Saturdays from 1 to 3pm.
