The Philharmonic Orchestra maestro, Maryann Flock will direct American classics such as Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The concert will include other favorites, such as Edward Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” and the music from the blockbuster movie “Pirates of the Caribbean”. As an added bonus, the Fox Valley Academy ensembles will also present a “Pre-Concert” performance of an American patriotic medley and “Eleanor Rigby” at 4:00pm in the band shell.
The public is encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket to fully enjoy the sounds of Central Park. The Naperville outdoor concert center is located in Central Park, 104 E. Benton.
