May 12, 2016 10:04AM ● By Neighbors Magazines

TriCity Family Services - Geneva, IL long-standing tradition, The Great Lobster Fly-In, is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2016. This year we are pleased to offer all elements for a complete meal from local food vendors. Gather your friends, celebrate dear old dad, or just kick-off summer and savor a delicious meal with little or no preparation! Orders are being accepted now for 1¼# lobsters (fresh or steamed), and 2lbs. bags of raw frozen Gulf shrimp. Josef’s Meats will provide 8-ounce beef filets.

To ensure your steak and lobster is especially tasty, order the Geneva Spice House’s Chicago Steak Seasoning and Seafood Boil Blend. Dawn’s Early Light Café will be offering corn and potato side salads in 2# quantities.  Hahn’s Bakery will again provide French baguettes. Last but not least, The Sugar Path’s Summer Berry Tarts and two flavors of ice cream from Kimmer’s Ice Cream are the perfect way to end this special meal.

The centerpiece of this event, AJ Looten’s 1918 antique steam engine will be on-site for those preferring to have their lobsters pre-cooked. Enjoy the music of local band, Toast, 2 guys and 1 gal playing old, new and original tunes. Purchase raffle tickets and sign-up for TCFS’s upcoming Golf & Tennis Outing.

Orders may be placed online at or by calling 630-232-1070. Orders will be accepted until Monday, June 13th at noon and will be available for pick-up on Saturday, June 18th from 9:00-11:30am at the old Kane County Courthouse, James Street Parking Lot in Geneva.

By purchasing all or part of your meal from the TCFS Lobster Fly-In, you are helping to raise funds for affordable, quality mental health programs and services in our community.
