Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation invites you to participate in the 16th
Annual Fox Trot 5K and 10K race on Sat., April 30 at the Batavia
Riverwalk (Island Avenue & Houston Street in downtown Batavia). Both races feature courses along the Fox
River in downtown Batavia. The start time for both the 5K and 10K race is 8am. There will be a warm-up led by PraxisFit at the Peg Bond Center prior to
the race, and Dick Pond’s will also be there for all of your running outfitting
needs. The H.C. Storm Chorus will be starting the race off with the singing of
the national anthem, and Batavia Academy of Dance will be performing as well. There
will be an award presentation for the winners of both races in all age groups
following the race.
The kids get to join in on the fun, too. The Fox Trot also features 2 non-competitive Kids’ Fun Runs beginning at approximately 8:45am with All Star Sports leading the kids’ races. Preschoolers and children through first grade are encouraged to try the Junior Jog (approximately ¼ mile.) Second graders through fifth graders are encouraged to try the Youth Mile event. Pre-registration for all events is encouraged. The pre-registration cost for the 5K is $30 per runner, and the pre-registration cost for the 10K is $40 per runner. There is no charge for either Kids’ Fun Run, but a donation of $10 per child is suggested. Funds raised through this event will support local charities in the Fox Valley area, as well as Batavia schools. The first 300 registered participants are guaranteed a race tech shirt.
Register online at signmeup.com/112254 . In-person registration will also be accepted on race day from 6:30–7:40am at the event as well as at packet pick-up on Friday, April 29th. For more information or to register, please visit bataviamothersclub.org.
