Geneva prepares for its annual Christmas Walk and House Tour on Dec. 4 & 5. A special tradition held the first Fri. and Sat. in Dec., sponsored by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce with the support of the City of Geneva.
Five homes decorated for the holiday, open their doors to visitors for self-guided tours on Fri. from 11am–8pm and Sat. from 11am–5pm. A Holiday Tea will be held at the Congregational Church. Proceeds from the House Tour are used to decorate Geneva for the holiday season. Tickets will be available in November.
The Christmas Walk begins Friday evening with Graham’s Chocolates First Candy Cane of the season being presented by the arrival of Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season. Young and young at heart will wait with anticipation as Santa Claus arrives on a horse-drawn carriage and the Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn is lit. Santa and Mrs. Claus will then open their gingerbread home for visits from children. 630-232-6060,
