Don't miss the annual turkey raffle

Nov 16, 2015 11:09AM ● By Neighbors Magazines

The North Aurora Firefighters Association will host its annual turkey raffle on Fri., Nov. 20 and Sat., Nov. 21, from 6pm. to 12am. The raffle will be held in the apparatus storage and maintenance building just north of Station #1 on Monroe St.

Firefighters will be raffling off over 500 turkeys, hams, and steaks. Food and beverages will be available throughout the night. We will also have DJ Jeff Doyle from Boulder Terrace Sound providing music both nights.

There will be Grand Prize cash drawings on Saturday night at 12pm as well as progressive cash drawings every half hour both evenings. Tickets for the grand prize drawing are $10 each and are being sold in advance by any of the North Aurora firefighters or at the fire station.

All proceeds from the turkey raffle will be going directly back into the community. Throughout the year, the North Aurora Firefighters Association contributes to several community organizations and numerous charitable events and causes.  Additional money is given to the community through support of Operation Christmas, four $1,000 scholarships towards the first year of college, and our Public Education Program.

North Aurora residents are not the only ones who are invited to enjoy the festivities, as this event is open to everyone in the area. This is a great opportunity to gather with family, friends, and neighbors while also taking part in a wonderful tradition of over 50 years!  Thank you in advance for your continued support and dedication to this community and its fire department.  Come join us for two nights of fun!
