(NORTH AURORA, Nov. 2, 2015)--Dr. Hammad Aziz has joined the movement to reduce cavities and tooth decay in children by giving away dollars in exchange for excess Halloween candy.  Trick-or-treaters can bring their excess Halloween candy to North Aurora Smiles and receive $1 per pound.

Candy will be collected at North Aurora Smiles, located at 1133 Oak Street in North Aurora, on the following days and times:

Monday, November 2nd, between 2:30pm and 6:00pm;

Tuesday, November 3rd, between 2:30pm and 6:00pm; and on

Wednesday, November 4th, between 2:30pm and 7:00 pm

The candy will then be shipped to troops serving overseas via OPERATION GRATITUDE, a nonprofit group that sends care packages filled with snacks, daily use items, and letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions, their children left behind, and to veterans.

 Said Dr. Aziz, “Children can have fun trick-or-treating, enjoy a few treats, and their piggy banks can benefit as well!  My office is participating in the Halloween Candy Buy Back Program to help children appreciate Halloween, encourage giving back, and to help bring a few smiles to troops serving abroad.”
