Hoops and hijinks are coming to Batavia on Sun., Oct. 11 (Columbus Day Weekend) when our very own local challengers, the “Batavia Dream Team,” take on the Harlem Ambassadors in a comedy basketball show the whole family will enjoy. The show starts at 5:30pm at the Batavia
High School gymnasium. Proceeds from the event benefit the Batavia Bulldog Boosters and the Batavia United Way and will be used for BPS101 student athletes and local families in need.
The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks, hilarious comedy routines, music, dancing and games for the kids. The Ambassadors also deliver a positive message for kids wherever the team plays.
“At our shows, we want the kids to know that they’re part of our team too,” says Harlem Ambassadors’ Coach Ladè Majic. “We invite as many kids as we can to come sit on the bench, have a front row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do.”

• Randy Banker, Batavia Deputy Fire Chief
