Friends of BPL provides affordable books for kids

Sep 30, 2015 11:34AM ● By Neighbors Magazines
You can treat children to a book of their choice this Halloween when you drop an All Hallows’ Read coupon into their trick-or-treat bags.

The Friends will sell All Hallows’ Read book coupons at the Check Out Desk, Oct. 1–31, and at the FriendSpace book sale, Sat., Oct. 3. Coupons are sold in sheets of 10 for $2.50. Each coupon can be redeemed by a child or teen for a free children’s or young adult book, either at a FriendSpace book sale or the Friends’ Book Corner across from the Check Out Desk.
Coupons are good through Sept. 30, 2016.

All Hallows’ Read is a celebration started by author Neil Gaiman in 2010. Its premise is to give someone a scary book for Halloween. The Friends joined the celebration in 2013, proposing to give children and teens a book of their choice for Halloween. Books sold by the Friends are gently used and in good to excellent condition.
