The autumn harvest celebration, Festival of the Vine in Geneva runs Sept. 11–13 from 10am-10pm (Fri. & Sat.) and 10am-5pm (Sun.)  Initially a celebration of anything grown on a vine, the festival now revolves around food and wine. Food and wine purchase times vary. Geneva has over 20 fine restaurants showcased at the “Flavor Fare” along with a variety of wine for purchase. Visitors purchase tickets and buy a “taste” at one of the featured restaurants in the tent. To accompany your food, unique wines from around the world will be available for purchase. Enjoy versatile local and Chicago-land musical and dance entertainers on the stage throughout the weekend. The Harvest Demo Stage, located on James Street, hosts a variety of free demonstrations on Sat. and Sun. Other events during the festival include an arts and crafts show, merchant wine events, business booths, complimentary trolley and horse drawn carriage rides. Located on Fourth and State streets.
